Dasmyn “Daz” Grigsby, an Atlanta, GA native, is a Grammy Award winning musician/percussionist with experience in traditional style marching and orchestral percussion. Dasmyn started his career as a professional percussionist/drummer with “Drumline Live”, a theatrical stage production based on the 20th Century Fox hit movie “Drumline”. Being a cast member of Drumline Live, Dasmyn was given the pleasure of performing with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and artists such as Ciara and Beyonce. He has also been featured on the BET series “The Quad” as well as the Vh1 original movie "Drumline: A New Beat”. Dasmyn has also played for artists such as Missy Elliott, Doug E. Fresh, Anderson.Paak, T.I., and Jermaine Dupri. Dasmyn is currently a member of the Atlanta Hawks “ATL Boom” Drumline and the Atlanta Braves “Heavy Hitters” Drumline as well as the founder and CEO of Xclusive Percussion Drumline Entertainment company. He is currently the percussion instructor at Martin Luther King Jr. High School in Stonecrest, GA and continues to give back to his local community as a prominent clinician in the Metro-Atlanta area.
